Amy at Saving With Amy has a new meme going, “Favorite Things Friday”. I thought it would be fun to join in so I am going to let you in on my favorite things this week.
Here are 3 of my Favorite Things.
My Crockpot – I love my crockpot especially on busy days. I use it at least twice a week. Tuesday is a very day at my house and if it weren’t for the crockpot we would either be eating fast food (which is very expensive) or eating at 8:00 (which is my kid’s bedtime.) But with the crockpot I get a healthy meal that cooks while I’m busy or away. Another reason I love my crockpot is that the crockpot recipes are usually pretty inexpensive.
If you don’t already have a crockpot, you can get a Hamilton Beach 5 Quart Crock Pot for for under $20 at Walmart.com.
MicroFiber Cloths – I bought this pack of 24 MicroFiber cloths at Sam’s about a month and a half ago. I had read that professional cleaners love to clean with microfiber cloths, so I decided to give it a shot. I’m so glad I did because I love them. They are the only thing, other than Magic Eraser, that I find will take the black marks from the grimy hands of 4 kids, off my refrigerator handles. I also love them for cleaning the mirrors. In addition they are earth friendly and save money. You don’t have to use paper towels, and while you can use them with cleaners, they work great with just water too. In fact, I went about 3 weeks with out having paper towel in the house, because it wasn’t on sale, and found that these worked just as well and all I have to do is throw them in the wash and reuse them.
I bought my 24 pack at Sams for about $11. If you don’t belong to Sams you can get Zwipes Microfiber 12-Pack of Cleaning Cloths for $8.99 from Amazon.com.
All You Magaine – I just got my April issue in the mail today, and I just have to say WOW! For a little over $1 a month (or 70 cents if you got int the great deal I had previously posted for All You), you get $85 worth of coupons. That $85 doesn’t even include the coupon on page 20 for a Free item of Rimmel up to $5 when bought at Walmart. For a couponer, this is an awesome magazine. It’s articles are pretty good too, but I love all the coupons.
You can get a subscription for All You (2-year)
from Amazon.com for $34 or $1.42 per issue.
So what about you? Do you have a favorite thing that you just cannot live without?

I love my Pampered Chef Deep Dish Covered Baker. My consultant called it a "magic pot." I have used it for chicken (whole, boneless/skinless, bone in), tacos, meat loaf, and more. Most stuff cooks in 30 minutes or less and clean up is easy peasy. It is, hands down, the best $69 I've ever spent and I usually use it at least 3 days a week.
