Looking for a great gift idea for a toddler? You might want to consider Pop On Pals. Thanks to Team Mom, I got a chance to try out the Pop On Pals Amusement Park Deluxe Play Set.

The set comes with a ferris wheel, rollercoaster, swinging dragon, strong man/hammer, knock the bottles down game, bells and music.  It also comes with one person, but three “pop ons” so he can play the games and ride the rides.  The retail value of the Pop On Pals Amusement Park Play Set is $34.99.
The manufacturer recommends Pop On Pals for children ages 2-4 years old for building skills in the following areas:
■Imagination and Creative Role Playing
■Object Recognition and Vocabulary Building
■Category Sorting
■Develops Palmar Arches
This toy has definite possibilites.  It is well made, very sturdy and chunky.  It encourages imaginative play and creativity.  It is also a great way for kids to improve their fine motor skills.
I think the age suggestions might be a bit off though, at least in my household.  My newly turned 4 year old looked at it for a minute, but then went off to play with something different.  He told me it looked like a baby toy and went to play with his action figures.  I think this toy is better suited for 18 months to 3 years old.
Other Pop On Pals sets include a Pet Pack, Pal Pack, Ring Deluxe Ring Pack, 2 ‘n 1 Vehicle Set, Pop and GO Airplane, and Pop and Go School Bus. You will find them at Toys ‘R Us, Target, Kmart and Sears. It is also available online at Amazon.Com
