Well I can officially say I’ve started my Christmas Shopping. My youngest has her first Christmas present purchased and it only cost me $3.74 at Walgreens.
At Walgreens I did two transactions and got $47 worth of merchandise for only $10.56 or a 77% savings. Here’s what I did:
Buy 2 Kleenex (4 Packs) $4 each
less $2 for $1 Kleenex Walgreens Coupon in September Booklet
$1 for two of the $.50/3 Kleenex Coupons from 8/12 SS
Equals $5 for 8 Boxes Plus get $2 OYNO for buying 7+ boxes of Kleenex = $3 for 8 boxes or 38 cents each
Suave Naturals $1 each
Get $2 RR wyb 2
Free Shampoo and Conditioner
Then I scoped out the clearance section for items to use my RRs on since I haven’t been making it to Walgreens too often lately, and didn’t want to loose them.
They had baby toys for 75% off including the Leapfrog Chat & Count Phone that my little one will be getting for Christmas. It was normally $14.99 and I got it for $3.74. I also picked up another toy for $2.24, but she’s already playing with that one. Finally, I picked up some Nice Crunchy Peanuts for only 90 cents. I love to keep these for snacks in the car while I’m running errands.
The next stop was Lowes to use my $10/$10 coupon. I used it to pick up two bottles of Stainless Steel appliance cleaner. I only had to pay 7 cents after the coupon and it worked perfectly – even through self check-out.
After that, it was a quick run to Sears Outlet to pick-up my Free Apparel Tuesday item that I shared over on The Coupon “High” Facebook Page. This time I picked up a pair of Land’s End Leggings that normally would have been $10 and I got them FREE.
Finally, it was a stop at Bottom Dollar where I picked up a couple of their weekly specials and Price Matched some produce to the Aldis ad. I also picked up some sandwich baggies there because I was totally out and I need them for the kids lunches.
I spent $18.95 and got a bunch of produce and more. I plan on using the Butternut Squash for baby food and already made my first batch of baby food plums.
Here’s a breakdown of my Bottom Dollar trip:
2 Ragu Spaghetti Sauces @ 99 cents each
Butternut Squash $3.52 (saw it and figured the little one hadn’t tried this yet, so I picked it up. No it’s not cheap)
6 lbs Bananas – Price matched to Aldis ad for 28 cents/lb
2 lbs Plums – Price matched to Aldis for 78 cents/lb. This was $1 cheaper per pound than the Bottom Dollar Price for the week
3 lbs Nectarines – Price Matched to Aldis for 78 cents/lb. Also a $1 cheaper than the Bottom Dollar Price.
5 lbs Grapes – Price Matched to Aldis for 78 cents/lb.
Celery –98 cents
2 Pleated 150 ct sandwich bags – 98 cents each
1 Ziploc 100 ct sandwich bags $1.98
So all totaled, I got $93.30 worth of items for only $29.58. That equals a 68% savings. That’s definitely a Coupon High “Trip” in my mind.
How have your Coupon “High” trips been this week?
