I have a fun new series for you. It’s called Pinterest in Action and I decided to make this into a semi-video series.   This is my first attempt at this so it’s not perfect, but I had fun figuring it out.  I hope you enjoy it too.  Let me know what you think?  Also what great pins have you tried out and found to be helpful.

Before anyone comments, I realized after I taped this that I actually  pronounced Pinterest incorrectly.  It will be fixed next time.

This week’s Pinterest in Action could also be considered a Repurpose Your Stockpile post too.

Pinterest in Action: Remove Sticky Objects with Baking Soda

Transcript:

Welcome to Pinterest in Action on The Coupon High.  Are you like me and have tons of ideas pinned, but don’t try them out.  Well I’m putting some of my pins in to action.

Today it’s cleaning a gooey smudge off a toaster oven.  I tried Fantastic and Stainless steel cleaner and the smudge remained.  Since I had no goo be gone, I checked Pinterest and searched “Remove Goo”

One of the ideas I found and pinned was using Baking Soda to Remove Goo.  The idea was to mix the Baking Soda with Water and Rub on to the gooey smudge in a circular pattern.  Then using a paper towel with a bit of water take off the Baking Soda Mixture.

Voila, the Pinterest tip worked.  The smudge was gone.  I used some of the Stainless Steel Cleaner to shine it up.  Thanks to Pinterest, I saved money since I didn’t have to buy Goo Be Gone.

Next Pinterest in Action on The Coupon High  will be how to clean stainless steel without the $10 bottles of Stainless Steel Ceaners.  I just have to buy some Borax.

I tried a tip that said to use a half a lemon to clean hardwater spots off of your faucets. I tried it on the bathtub while I was giving my kids a bath and it worked really well. My faucet was really dirty. It had been a long time since I had cleaned it.

I think I will have to give that one a try, Thanks for sharing Bertie. I wonder if it would work on shower doors.
